Abstract: | The paper presents the results of a research project conducted by the French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA) in Nairobi (Kenya) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). The project studied the inequality of access to water in the city of Nairobi. Using a hybrid methodology of remote-sensing classification, a household survey and methods of spatial analysis the contribution maps the geographic nuances of the performance of water operators in the city of Nairobi.
