Abstract:At a summit held in Port Louis, Mauritius, in 2004, the leadership of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) gave its approval for an extensive research project to document the liberation struggles in southern Africa. Between 2006 and 2010, participants in the liberation struggles were interviewed in 11 countries. These 9 volumes present the results of the project in the form of historical-analytic chapters and collections of personal stories.
