| Abstract: | In 1969 Imam Abdulla Haron, a Muslim religious leader from Cape Town, was arrested under the Terrorism Act. A few months later he died while still in detention. Here a description is given of some of his political activities, his arrest and subsequent torture by the Security Police. The findings of the inquest are seen to characteristically divert the blame from those obviously responsible. |
