Abstract:	Objectives: - to assist in estimating, by region, the extent of social and vocational rehabilitation programmes and services for people with disabilities; - to serve as a reference source for governments, for national and local voluntary agencies and for international and non-governmental organisations; - to inform regional organisation, governments, national voluntary agencies and international aid-giving organisations about the extent of social and vocational rehabilitation resources in the continent; and - to encourage direct communication and collaboration among professionals and rehabilitation programmes.
