| Abstract: | In 1963 the author spent two weeks in Keta in south-eastern Ghana where she made a preliminary study of Ewe beach-seining. The first part of the present work is an extension of the chapter on the Ewe seine-fishermen in her 'Studies in rural capitalism in West-Africa' (1970). The summarized oral material which forms the bulk of this study is based on Felix Huktorti's interpretive work. The second part of the study presents oral material on Ewe shallot farming. |
